Parma, 01 April 2025Number 1 Logistics Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of FM Logistic’s Italian operations, a strategic move that further consolidates its leadership in logistics for the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) and Health & Beauty Care sectors

This agreement comes amidst a trend of increasing market consolidation in contract logistics, aiming to optimize operational efficiency, expand service offerings and maximize service quality.

The integration of FM Logistic’s Italian business will enable Number 1 to achieve a market share of over 25%, significantly bolstering its presence in the personal care market and in temperature-controlled logistics. The acquisition is expected to drive revenue growth by €60 million, thanks to a more robust and extensive network. Additionally, the company will add over 200 employees to its existing workforce of 2,000.

“Number 1’s growth has always been driven by a clear vision: innovation, value creation for communities, focus on people and sustainability,” said Davide Villani, President and CEO of Number 1 Logistics. “This acquisition enables us to enhance our market position and deliver more efficient and innovative solutions to our existing and potential clients. The integration of the new hubs in Capriata D’Orba (Alessandria) and Vellezzo (Pavia) further enhances our operational capabilities, expanding our portfolio of logistics solutions.”

“We believe this transition to Number 1 Logistics Group is a natural step forward. Their strong expertise in the Italian market and shared commitment to service quality will ensure continuity for our customers and employees. We are confident that this integration will provide new opportunities for growth and stability in the years to come.” – Jean-Christophe Machet, CEO of FM Logistic.

The transaction will take effect starting April 1, 2025.

FM Logistic will continue to operate its activities in Corteolona. The Corteolona site is not included in this transaction and will remain under FM Logistic’s management.
